A Bush zinger
In his January 31, 2006 State of the Union address, President Bush delivered an aphorism aimed at his Iraq war critics that is even more timely these days, as the negative drumbeat intensifies. It is a perfect riposte that hits the likes of the NYT and columnists such as the WaPo's Tom Ricks, author of Fiasco, right in their collective solar plexus.
"Hindsight alone is not wisdom and second—guessing is not a strategy."
