Singling out Israel (again)
The foriegn minister of Finland, which has just rotated into the EU presidency, singles out Israel as recipient of leaked documents.
"It has long been known that all EU documents that deal with the Middle East also are known in Tel Aviv within an hour after having been distributed to the member states, and probably also in Washington and Moscow," Mr Tuomioja wrote in a comment in Hufvudstadsbladet, the biggest Swedish language daily in Finland.
Do you really suppose other countries don't get leaked documents from one of the EU's 25 nations. If ever a situation were ripe for leaking, it is disparate collection of 21 countries with their own inetrests and own special friends overseas. Why do you suppose Israel is of such special concern?
