Fake Plamegate still damaged Bush
Ray Robison looks at the polling data during Plamegate, and points out the degree to which the MSM sold the public on the (false) notion that the Bush administration behaved unethically. Most tellingly, he contrasts the polling data with polls surrounding the Lewinski affair, when the press was pushing a pro—White House line in a scandal which involved genuine scandal.
If the media had any honor, they would as prominently highlight the collapse of the entire enterprise with the same vigor that they pushed visions of Fitzmas, frog marches, and assorted detritus. Don't hold your breath.

Update: Joe Crowley adds:
Last night Hardball guest host Norah O'Donnell interviewed Michael Isikoff about Richard Armitage and his new book Hubris: The Inside Story of Spin, Scandal, and the Selling of the Iraq War. I swear to God, he sat there with a straight face and without coming right out and saying it he implied that Bush & Co. are still just as guilty as Olbermann and Matthews have been endlessly postulating/hoping all along!
