The NYT and Ned Lamont: "gentlemen's agreement"?
Tom Maguire has a lot of fun at Just One Minute with the New York Times' avoidance of asking any awkward questions about Ned Lamont's membership in a whites—only, no—Jews—need apply country club in Greenwich, something he dropped only when contemplating a run for the Senate against Joe Liebrman, in a story Jews and the Senate race.
he also notices that Lamont had a salary of $546,044, and received capital gains of more than $1.7 million, according to the tax returns and made only $5,385 in charitable contributions.
Don't you just love it when Democrats demonstrate the depth of their compassion and care for fellow citizens, when they think nobody is looking?
Something nobody in the MSM seems to have noticed is that Lamont is the heir of arch—robber baron J.P. Morgan's partner Thomas Lamont, who gave a major library to Harvard, among other charities. These trust fund heirs seem to have lost the charitable spirit.
Ned Lamont is quite the man of the people.
