A search of all the news stories with the key words "heat wave" + "power failure" + "population growth" turned up nothing, nada, zip! When I removed the key words "power failure" I found only 8 stories for "heat wave" + "pop. growth." By comparison, a search of "heat wave" + "global warming" turned up well over 300 current articles. 
 
My point is, that while Al Gore & Co. are holding or jetting off to "Heat—Wave/Global—Warming" parties in their air—conditioned private jets, limos and oversized mansions, no one in the mainstream media, left or right, seems willing to use their vast resources, not even a summer intern  or two, to do a piece on the real reason for all these power failures — old equipment and higher demand due to population growth.
 
Now as to the lack of power company equipment reinvestments and the largest source of America's current population growth.
