Kristof unhinged
Even by Krsitofian standards, this column ($link) is one of the more obtuse it has been my misfortune to have read by him. No mention of the 1000 plus rockets that have been launched from Gaza into Israel despite the complete withdrawal of an Israeli prescence from there. No mention of the genocidal charters and hate advocacy. He seems to call for complete submission on the part of Israel on the principle of "you don't want to make the enemey dislike you more". He fails to mention the declaration by many Arab nations that put the blame on Hezbollah—a fairly startling development that many others have commented upon—so there seems to be a noticeable lack of evidence of street rage motivating governments. I fail to see how Hezbollah was on the defensive—they were required to disarm years ago and Lebanon lift not a finger to make this occur.
