Mounties got sensitivity training before terror raid
Canada must be the most relentlessly nice nation on earth. People in my native Minneosta make jokes about the local penchant for niceness, but Canada tops even Minnesota. Sweetness & Light found this in the Toronto Golbe and Mail:
Before the raids came the sensitivity training: Tactical—squad Mounties learned how to properly handle Korans prior to arresting 17 terrorism suspects on the weekend.
And that's not all. The RCMP also made sure there were clean prayer mats on hand for their suspects when they were sent to jail cells.
Then, after everything wrapped up, authorities met with a number of Muslim leaders to impress upon them that officers were going after specific individuals, not the community as a whole.
'Our officers need to be respectful,' said RCMP spokeswoman Corporal Michele Paradis.
Yes indeed, those who plan to behead the Prime Minister need all the respect and consideration possible. Of course, some Canadians are starting to realize that this respect will never be recoiprocated by those who wage violent jihad against the West, even or especially the nicest possible people on earth. They regard it as weakness, eh.
