Ummah News Links brings us news that a recent survey of prisoners in France reveals that half of prisoners there are Muslims:

A Le Monde news article wrote that according to a poll run by 'Religions World' magazine, although Muslims constitute 7—8 percent of the French population, 50 percent of all prisoners are Muslim immigrants.

The percentage rises to 80 percent in suburbs mostly populated by immigrants.

I wonder if French Muslims are claiming this is evidence of pervasive discrimination? That sport of argument is heard here in the United States regarding the incarceration rates of African—Americans, and Louis Farrakhan's disciples are reportedly active in France.
