The pot is calling the kettle black over at Turtle Bay on Manhattan's East Side. The United Nations rewards serial abusers of human rights by membership on the Human Rights Council , "Screaming Mary" who tormented American hostages during the Iran hostage crisis gets a prestigious UN award, Kofi Annan gets a $500,000 award from Dubai and gives a UN post to one of the people responsible for giving him the prize, the UN fecklessly responds to an Iran developing nuclear weapons (which violates UN rules —or certainly the spirit of the UN — by gloating over their plans to destroy Israel), appeasing the Iranian dictatorship. The UN kowtows to Saudi Arabia which oppresses women and religions other than Wahhabism, ignores widespread corruption among UN employees, has a  laissez faire attitude towards the Oil—for—Food scandal, and covers up the special favors enjoyed by Kojo Anan (Kojo's son).  

Nevertheless, the UN still finds time to focus on the purportedly bad practices of businesses by pushing a "code of morality" onto them, promoting socially responsible investing. Yes..the only group that the UN rouses itself to attack (other than Israel and America) is business: the one group responsible for increasing wealth and the number of jobs worldwide and the single best promoter of international bonding in the world today.
