Rep. Weldon targeted by Kerry and the Clintonistas
The Christian Science Monitor reports that Congressman Curt Weldon may be in trouble. His opponent, Joseph Sestak, has raised almost half a million dollars after an urgent appeal by John Kerry to his 3—million—strong email list. Joe Sestak is ... yet another member of Bill Clinton's NSC Keystone Kops! Along with Joe Wilson, Richard Clarke, and Sandy Burglar himself. Plus Valerie, Madeleine, and now, of course, we all know about Mary McCarthy.
What a crew. These folks may have hurt US security more than Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. After all, the first Twin Towers attack happened on their watch, and they did exactly nothing to stop the second one. Even though the same network of terrorists committed both mass murder attempts. The Clinton NSC just didn't get it. How many tries does Osama get to hit New York City, the Pentagon and the White House?
All they want now is another eight years of power.
So the Clinton apparatus is trying to destroy yet another enemy ——— domestic enemy, that is. They weren't very effective with Saddam Hussein, Osama or the North Koreans. But they do very good hit jobs on Republicans. Ask Scooter Libby.
As you might guess, a big smear campaign is now in progress. Wikipedia has a very one—sided "biography" of Weldon, which somehow doesn't have anything good to say about him. Curt Weldon poses a real threat to the Clintons' effort to rewrite history, aided by the NYT—WaPo axis. He has this really annoying way of telling the truth.
Among the Clintonistas trying to bring down Curt Weldon are Madeleine Albright, Sandy Berger, John Podesta and Senator Hillary Clinton, the Commander—in—Chief—in—Waiting herself.
You can know a man by the enemies he makes. If Curt Weldon gets beaten, the strongest critic of the CIA's hopeless incompetence will be gone. Weldon exposed Able Danger to the public, the Pentagon outfit that pinpointed the 9/11 terrorists before the Twin Towers were brought down. Able Danger could have saved 3,000 innocent lives had somebody been paying attention at the NSC. It looks like Weldon told the truth, and the 9/11 Commission somehow missed the story of Able Danger.
It's good to have at least one truth—teller in Congress.
Weldon also played an admirable role when the Soviet Union was crumbling, and thousands of Soviet weapons scientists were suddenly starving and on the job market. He led congressional contacts with the Russian Duma when democracy looked more hopeful than it does today in Moscow. He also served on the now—forgotten Cox Commission, which concluded that it wasn't really smart to give missile guidance technology to China.
Congressman Weldon is one hell of a guy. There are not many like him.
I'm sending him my money today.
