Canada stands firm in Afghanistan
Prime Minister Stephen Harper pulled—off another victory in Canada, with Parliamentary approval of a two year extension of Canada's military presence in Afghanistan. Canadian forces have been concentrated in the South, where they see danger. A female soldier was killed recently.
It was very, very close. But Prime Minister Harper, with his minority government, has been pulling off a string of successes. Keep your eye on him, he seems rather extraordinary.
