Buying the world in Dubai
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai invites wealthy, wealthy people to invest in a proposed luxurious resort to be known as The World, "a collection of 300 private islands in the shape of continents located off the coast of Dubai." In the Master Plan section of the website are a group of islands representing countries in the region. Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt are there, but Israel has mysteriously disappeared.
Isn't our ally Dubai going to run our ports, supply our military?
According to the invitation "Only selected investors will be considered for this unique and limited opportunity." Would Israelis and/or Jews be among those selected? Or would they, if they have any integrity, follow Groucho Marx's axiom that he wouldn't want to be a member of any club that accepted him?
