Ode to W
I'm going to step way out on a branch
And tell the President I'll bet the ranch
On his job as a leader in war and peace.
I don't care how the polls inflate or decrease
Their trumped up numbers, their attempted coups.
Real Americans are on to their rusty ruse
From the ancient playbook they always use
To again and again distort the news.
George W. Bush is a savvy guy.
He doesn't spout rhetoric telling malcontents why
He takes tough stands whether or not they agree.
(Sounds rather like Ronaldus Magnus to me!)
He'll take all the heat they can generate.
He doesn't need their input to make him great.
He knows who he is, doesn't need identification,
Swats away like gnat nips their vilification.
An American cowboy, and I'm proud to say,
I'll bet on his presidency any day!
