New York University, which is hosting a forum this evening in which the Danish Muhammad cartoons are to be viewed, has partially surrendered to the demands of hecklers seeking to enforce Shari'a—based prohibitions on images of Muhammad. Despite University regulations that presentations may be open to the public, and that the University will provide adeuqate security regardless of content, the University is barring non—members of its community from attending.
