Like a harlot
Reading the environmentalist platitudes on the website of Mikhail Gorbachev's Swiss—based Green Cross fills me with an almost indescribable disgust. Here we have a former party apparatchik and an unrepentant communist masquerading as an environmental activist, because he thinks this is the best way to advance his leftist agenda. What a farce to watch the butcher of Chernobyl posturing as this Earth's guardian angel.
The insidiousness, the deceptiveness behind it all is truly intolerable. Those communists were surely more palatable when they were not afraid to admit who they were. Although they were as bad and wrong then as they are now, they were at least honest about their convictions. 'We will bury you and your capitalist system. We shall sweep you from the stage of history,' they would shout angrily, shaking their fists in the West's direction. Their evil at least took a manly, defiant form.
Now Gorbachev and his ilk try to mask themselves with lies. They are like old harlots who put on thick layers of makeup to cover in their faces the traces of the vice—filled lives they have lead. There is something infinitely abhorrent in the false posturing of these clowns. Unmanly, evasive and fake, one is repulsed by these creatures. But deal with them we must, because although pathetic they are still dangerous. They must be exposed for what they are and squarely defeated.
One cannot wait for this to happen, for then we can spend more time on much more worthwhile things, like exploring the love and mystery of God, the beauty and inherent pain of human life, the exquisiteness of nature and the splendors of great art. Incidentally, these things are almost completely unappreciated by these leftist barbarians whose ideology has blinded them to almost everything that is good, true and worthwhile in human existence.
