Carramba! This Gem of a Notion
(Written to the tune, Columbia the Gem of the Ocean)
Ay Carramba! This gem of a notion,
Forgive all illegals, set them free;
This shrine to each liberal's devotion,
To give 'em rights same as you and me;
Under tri—color banners they assemble,
When estricto new laws come into being;
Enforcement of our laws makes them tremble,
So they rally to the Red, White and Green.
Yes they rally to the Red, White and Green,
See 'em rally to the Red, White and Green?
Yep, enforcement of our laws makes 'em tremble,
So they rally to the Red, White and Green.
The free ride they've had it may wither,
And their futures may prove to be grim;
Muchachos are in an angry dither,
The star of their free ride's growing dim.
The eagle and the serpent swirl above 'em,
So now their true colors can be seen,
They're still citizens of Mexico most of 'em,
Three vivas for the Red, White and Green.
Three vivas for the Red, White and Green.
Sí, tres vivas for the Red, White and Green.
They're still citizens of Mexico most of 'em,
Tres vivas for the Red, White and Green.
