America — the West's only hope

This past weekend Moslems marched straight through the heart of London carrying placards and chanting slogans calling for Europe's annihilation. And the British authorities just stood by. There were no arrests and no effort was made to clamp down on the provocateurs.

In the words of David Davis, Tory shadow home secretary

"Clearly some of these placards are incitement to violence, and indeed incitement to murder — an extremely serious offence which the police must deal with and deal with quickly.'

Yet nothing has been done.

The first prerequisite of any viable civilization is the will to defend itself. A civilization which refuses to take resolute measures in the face of such an egregious provocation cannot survive for very long. It has lost respect for itself and what it stands for. If it had any, it would not have allowed a charade like this to go on for half an hour. Tellingly this happened in England, the most assertive of west—European countries.

America is the only one among the western democracies willing to take serious measures to confront those bent on our destruction. Others just either stand numbly by or — insanely — work to undermine America's efforts.

America is the West's only hope. Should She lose Her fighting spirit, the West will go down in defeat without even putting up a struggle. It happened before. The year was 1940 and the enemy was fascism.
