DiFi's new digs

By

Senator Dianne Feinstein and her financier husband Richard Blum are movin' on up, at least in terms of San Francisco real estate. They are leaving their elegant home on a quiet street abutting the greenery of the former Presidio Army Base, now a public park (with much worse security, of course). Instead, their San Francisco abode will be one of those mansions you occasionally see in the movies, with a panoramic view of San Francisco Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge. See this picture.

The new masne supposedly went for 16.5 million dollars, which makes it even more pricey than John Kerry's Louisburg Sq. townhouse on Boston's Beacon Hill. It supplements The Feinstein—Blum's 6 million dollar DC estate, and their 7.4 million dollar Aspen vacation house.

I doubt that DiFi is much scared of Cindy Sheehan's announced intention to run against her for her Senate seat. Still, if she does find herself with time on her hands, she will have almost 10,000 square feet of space and one of the finest views in the world to relax in.
