"Christiane? It's Osama here"
The left blogosphere is puzzling over the deletion from a transcript of an Andrea ("everybody knew Plame worked for the agency") Mitchell interview in which she suggests the NSA had picked up some conversations between Christiane Amanpour and others. Tom Maguire is on the case:
How did Mitchell know this? Why would Amanpour's calls get in the data mining search? Is she like Eason Jordan playing with the other side for exclusives and the NSA lock on the other side of the conversation lead to her? Why was the transcript edited to take out this reference?
We already know that it is not unheard of for reporters to get exclusives of terrorist atrocities which have not yet occurred.(recall the photographer who shot the murder of the election workers on Baghdad's Haifa Street).
Scroll on down Tom's post if you forgot.
