A strategy for '06?
Newt Gingrich famously engineered the Republican takeover of Congress in 1994 at least in part by nationalizing the election with the Contract With America. With that thought in mind, herewith a strategy for the Republican Party to gather in front of the Capitol and sign on to in 2006:
We are committed to winning the Global War on Terror and to winning the war in Iraq as part of that war. In order to do this, we need more Republicans in Congress to combat Democratic obstructionism. Vote in 2006 as if the country, your life, and your family's security depended on it. Vote Republican.
