World War ll and Cold War finished

By

In still yet another sign that World War ll and the Cold War have ended, thanks to American strength, determination and resoluteness:

The U.S. Air Force on Friday handed over the keys to Rhein—Main Air Base to the operator of Frankfurt International Airport in a final act of closure for the base, which for 60 years hosted American forces.

This Air Force base, established after the defeat of Nazi Germany thanks in large part to the Americans coming to the aid of their overseas Allied brethren, was also used by Americans to supply aid to the defeated Germans in West Berlin during the Soviet blockade of that city.  The base also served as a center for American forces against the communist Soviet Union.

Certainly the Europeans in general and the Germans in particular won't thank the Americans and its armed forces personnel for saving them from the Nazis during World War ll and the Communists afterwards; therefore we must.

THANKS!
