the MSM plays catch-up
Like many other legacy press outlets, Reuters has just discovered that the US has been countering our adversaries' moves with some savvy geo—political maneuvers. Carol Giacomo, Reuters diplomatic correspondent, reports that
The Bush administration is looking increasingly to India as a core ally as it seeks to engineer what could be a major diplomatic shift away from the power alignments forged after World War Two.
Welcome to the club, Carol. For further research you might consider any number of articles from AT that have previously analyzed US diplomatic moves in the War on Terror, especially as they relate to India and a developing opposition alliance. For starters, here, here, here, here, here, and all the way back to our second article, when beta testing the site.
On a related note, the AP via the UK Guardian reports that Japan, another member of our Asian alliance, has agreed to extend its troop deployment to Iraq for another year.
These are all positive developments in the Global War on Terror, and as such, will be downplayed or ignored by the MSM.
