RFK, Jr. Tilts at Windmills
The Boston Herald picks up today where AT took its readers yesterday, savoring the hypocrisy Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., prominent advocate of wind power except when it spoils the view from property owned by his family and enjoyed by him.
Environmental groups, who are now portraying Kennedy as a virtual traitor in the fight against global warming, took note of that omission.
'This is an unfortunate case of NIMBYism,' said Matt Palmer, executive director of Hyannis—based Clean Power Now, referring to the antidevelopment acronym for Not In My Back Yard.
'We are disheartened and dismayed that RFK Jr. is continuing his misguided opposition to Cape Wind,' said Sue Reid, an attorney with the Conservation Law Foundation.
Kennedy's uncle's promise to "bear any burden, pay any price" obviously does not extend to personal inconvence for himself in pursuit of the goals he urges on the proles. I guess they should be proud to be able to sacrifice to enable him to ride private jets and enjoy a view unmolested by windmills. Bobby Kennedy, Jr. is the Marie Antoinette of the greenies.
