Lower education

By

The University of North Carolina descends to an infantile level of self—gratification, at the hands of the feminist pro—abortion left. It is hosting an "Orgasm Awareness Festival" — apparently on the assumption that some Tar Heels are unaware of orgasms. Of course, any such person is unlikely to want to attend such an event.

While the sponsors throw in the usual rhetoric of "informed decisions about what's best for your reproductive life" the main point seems to be about gratifying the nether regions, with vibrators and a focus on a certain female body part.

The taxpayers of North Carolina pony up a handsome subsidy to the university, on the theory that it teaches useful and enlightening ideas to the most intellectually capable young adults. Parents, on their part, scrimp and save to enable their children to attend this institution. Throwing open the doors to activities having more in common with a baby's polymorphous perversity than the life of the mind, makes a mockery of the sacrifices of responsible people in the name of education.

All of this is simply more evidence that the intellectual class of America has betrayed its responsibilities to the society which supports them. Hard working people lose their respect for, and eventually will refuse to support these kinds of abuses. There was a time when universities embodied the higher yearning of mankind for enlightenmment. When universities can be replaced by activities like a slumber party, they will no longer be justified in asking for public monies.
