Hillary hires 9/11 kook
Once again, "the world's smartest woman" shows that she has the world's largest political tin ear.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton has quietly hired an unconventional corporate teen—marketing guru who believes the supernatural can be used to pitch products to young people — and who dissed 9/11 victims in shocking comments.
Consultant Gia Medeiros, who has plotted thinking—outside—the—box selling strategies for the NBA, Levi Strauss, MTV and Calvin Klein, was recently put on the payroll of both Clinton's Senate campaign and her political action committee, which reported doling out nearly $75,000 to her.
Before going to work for Clinton, Medeiros, who has lived in upstate New York and the city, trashed some 9/11 victims just weeks after the terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people.
She told a forum in Boulder, Colo., where she lives now, that "all of those people who died that day, those folks who we've heard toasted as angels and heroes and martyrs, well, they weren't all good people. I used to live in New York. I know it." ....
In a statement yesterday, Clinton spokeswoman Ann Lewis said: "We were not aware of these inexplicable comments and strongly disagree with them. The people who died on 9/11 were loving family members who are missed every day, and Sen. Clinton continues to work with their families to honor their memory."
A tight—lipped Lewis told The Post that Medeiros was hired by Clinton to perform research: "She's a researcher on public attitude . . . Clearly, she was hired for a project."
Clinton's political action committee, HillPAC, hired Medeiros this summer to perform $73,462 worth of "consulting," federal records show. She is also working for Clinton's re—election campaign, Friends of Hillary, aides said, although they declined to disclose how much she is being paid additionally from that account.
