The L.A. Weekly has a lengthy story on an American Caucasian convert to Islam, one of roughly 80,000 white and Hispanic converts. (A much larger number of African—Americans are also believed to have conversted.)
What makes the story especially compelling is that the young man profiled, Charles Vincent, conversted a mere six weeks after 9/11.
