"We own it"
A note to Move On:
"Now it's our Party: we bought it, we own it, and we're going to take it back."
Not so fast. You claim you bought it——was it listed publicly for sale? Did Eliot Spitzer approve of the sale for New York State residents? Did it meet all government inspections? Are the new owners representative of the American people——are the number of mixed race Asian—Irish physically challenged lesbian adolescent Budhhists living on a rural farm the same as in the country's general population, for example?
Just because you bought it doesn't mean you necessarily own it. Have you paid all the applicable taxes? Did it come with a money back guarantee? Did it pass government inspection? What about the "hundreds of thousands who gave millions and millions''? Did they approve of the purchase? What is their role in governance? Do those who gave the most, oh, for instance George Soros, have more votes than the $50 contributor? Or is it one person, one vote?
You're going to take it back? Now, now let's not be so harsh. Imperialism isn't nice. Certainly a good trial lawyer, maybe John Edwards of the ancien regime, working with the UN can negotiate a just sharing of one party that historically has belonged to all people so they can once again work peacerfully together for social justice and free health care.
Certainly all of this is easy to do.
Best wishes,
