Voting behavior

We take the right to vote so much for granted that we often don't even bother.  And in a free society that's fine as an option. 

But for people——women and men——who have never really had a chance to participate in a free election with a secret ballot this heady freedom does not make them blase.  Yet.  And so despite incredible hardships that most Americans can't even comprehend, Afghans are registering to vote.  Maybe we can learn from them.
