Venezuelan recall election

The International Herald Tribune (owned by the New York Times Company)  says there is a perception of massive vote fraud in the Venezuelan recall election and details why that perception appears warranted.
 
On the same day the NYT editors say this:

It is time for President Hugo Chavez's opponents to stop pretending that they speak for most Venezuelans. They do not, as the failure of a recall referendum, promoted by the opposition, decisively demonstrated on Sunday.
