Twisted leftists
Berkeley, my city of residence, is the ideal place to view twisted leftists at their worst. Next week, Bus 19, the mangled wreckage of an Israeli bus full of ordinary people that was blown up by Palestinian death cultists, is to be displayed, in hopes of bringing home the savagery employed against Israel.
Naturally, the left is displeased. And the San Francisco Chronicle is happy to feature their displeasure in a headline.
Barbara Lubin, executive director of Berkeley's Middle East Children's Alliance, said the bus project offers a one—sided perspective on the Mideast conflict.
"My view is a wider view, that there is not only individual terrorism, but state terrorism,'' said Lubin, who blames the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories for deaths on both sides.
Berkeley officials made life difficult for organizers of a rally with speakers to accompany display of the bus, insisting that organizers pay for an insurance policy and file a security plan.
Stay tuned.
