William Voegeli publishes a wonderful essay from the Claremont Review of Books on Opinion Journal today, where millions can read it for free. I hope they do so.

Voegeli could have used any number of titles other than "Endless Party" to capture his subject of the underlying theory (or lack thereof) of the Democrats. I admit to being capotivated by the same questions that he treats in this complex and subtle article.

I differe with him on a number of points, but nevertheless, found it an utter delight to read.
