Things a president can't say
Larry Henry has a terrific column today on The American Spectator website. His basic point is that Kerry is taking advantage of the fact that the Commander in Chief cannot say many true things, because of the diplomatic and military consequnces which would follow. Candidate Kerry asks questions and says things to which the President cannot respond effectively, without betraying the trust of his citizens.
One man wields power responsibly; the other plays verbal games.
