They just don't get it!
Today's Guardian page one headline reads: "After two billion viewers watch Live 8's call for action on Africa...Bush says:"I put US interests first."
That's exactly what he was elected to do. It is very telling that that the eurocratic editors of the leading left wing paper in the U.K. implicitly think it is the job of world leaders to ignore their own countries' interests in favor of some nebulous larger agenda favored by the elites.
Come to think of it, isn't that why the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776? Some poeple just don't get it, 229 years later.
