Beyond the purview of the national media, in local markets such as Parkersburg, West Virginia, the truth about our armed forces is coming out. Bob Broody, a local man who spent 15 months in Iraq, is back home, where it must truly seem 'almost heaven' to him, and he is speaking with the press.

Karen Neuhauser Ruppert attended a speech Broody gave at a local Rotary Club luncheon. It is the kind of thing which gets written—up in smnall cities, but rarely in the big ones. Readers of the Parkersburg Post Ledger will find themselves better informed than the readers of the New York Times.
