Nobody, not even the Arabs, has outdone the Europeans in denouncing Israel's barrier fence, which has succeeded in reducing brutal terror attacks on Israeli civilians. It is almost always called a 'wall,' so as to liken it to the Berlin Wall. An international tribunal in The Hague (where else?) has 'found' against it, am meaningless verdict since there are no enforcement measures.

But now, The EU wants to erect a wall of its own, to separate the new members in the East from the non—members (like Russia), whose 'wretched refuse' seek to cross borders and seek a better life in the EU. All of a sudden a wall becomes okay by the Euros.

Worst of all, an Israeli company, which helped build the barrier fence, has the requisite technical expertise to accomplish the job quickly and economically. Magal Security Systems is expected to sign an agreement with a major European company so as to be able to participate in a tender for construction of the wall...um...fence.
