The growing threat of outsourcing
You can count on outsourcing of jobs to receive even more frenzied coverage from journalists, now that Reuters has announced it will be outsourcing 20 editorial jobs to India. It will be interesting to see if the Indian editors will toe the Reuters company line about Muslim terrorists being 'militants,' especially when the terrorists involved are Muslims in Kashmir blowing up innocent Indians.
Outsourcing, of course, creates more jobs than it costs, by maximizing comparative advantage. David Ricardo figured out the logic a long time ago. Which causes me to wonder if I shouldn't oppose this outsourcing by Reuters. Without cost control measures, the days of this left wing propaganda organ might be numbered. The parent company has been in financial difficulty for years.
