Strong trend toward Bush in the latest polls
The Washington Post/ABC poll is just out wth their daily tracking: Bush up 51—45 (yesterday 50—47). So for the 4 daily 3—day tracking polls, yesterday, Bush was tied, up 1, up 1 and up 3, for an average of up 1.25%. Today he is up 3,3,1 and 6, for an average of up 3.25%, or a two point gain in a day. Obviously very strong polling yesterday.
The Rasmussen state tracking polls are just out: Bush is back up by 2 in Florida (tied yesterday). This is a 7 day poll. Bush is now up 3 in Ohio — he was tied two days ago, up 1 yesteday. Even in Minnesota he is tied. Kerry is up 3 in Michgan, and 4 in Pennsylvania. I do not buy the last one. Kerry just changed his schedule and will visit Michigan on Monday. That tells you something too — maybe he saw the Detroit News and Mason Dixon polls which had Bush ahead. And look at where is he taking Clinton — to Pennsylvania, not Ohio or Florida.
