A minor imbroglio has erupted over USA Today spiking the very first column submitted to them by Ann Coulter. Commendably, USAT wanted to reach out to conservatives, and went and picked one of the most pointed and funniest writers of the right. But based on what followed, it appears that nobody at USAT actually read much of Ann's work.

Human Events Online has posted a copy of Ann's spiked column, with the editor's comments included in all—caps. It makes very interesting reading, for what it reveals about the narrow mindset of everyday liberal media types. 'We just don't get it' could well be their motto.

The editing amounts to a quick glimpse of how the journalistic sausage gets made.
