Saudi women and the vote

By

Thanks to the United States of America, Afghanistan just conducted its first ever election in which both women and men were free to vote. This is an amazing advance for a country and its women which merely five years ago was cruelly ruled by the Taliban who completely oppressed women.

But in nearby Saudi Arabia, a country overflowing with oil wealth, and also our ally, the government, which apparently does not rule as oppressively as the Taliban, has decreed that women cannot run for office, cannot even vote.

This is also the country which supplied the majority of the 9/11 hijackers.  Not that there's any connection of course.  maybe. But is it worth liberating?
