Pests

By

You've read here previously and in other places about PESTS, people suffering from "Post Election Selection Trauma."  Not to be too unkind but the afflicted were so upset by the loss of John F. Kerry to George W. Bush that many simply could not function.

Eager therapists, ready for a quick buck and/or inflating their egos, rushed in with a diagnosis plus cures. So sure enough, a month after the election a PEST support group is already meeting in Florida.  What a funny crutch

This published report of a PEST therapy session should replace a not so funny skit on Saturday Night Live and acted out verbatim.

Frankly, therapists who perpetuate this nonsense should have their credentials examined.  Reputable therapists should practice some tough love on their clients:  The election is over. George Bush won.  Get over it.  Or in the words of Joan Rivers, "Grow up!"
