Outrageous demand
Undocumented youths, i.e, illegal aliens, are marching on Washington today to demand their right to pay in—state tuition at public colleges. We live in an age of mounting problems in our educational systems. Is it fair to be asked to pick up the tab for students whose parents have violated our laws, and who presumably have escaped their responsibility to pay the taxes that help support public schools?
Have we not granted them a basic high school education, gratis? If they desire to go to school, why not work, as many before them have, to pay full tuition instead of demanding rights that American citizens who live out—of—state do not have? Has the immigration lobby not had enough benefits to feast upon?
