No return
Alex Beam, of the Boston Globe, has a wryly funny article directed at American liberals thinking of departing for Canada. But he doesn't go for the jugular, the way I would. All of the defects he cites are excesses of PC—style leftism. Which leads me to conclude that the punsihment fits the crime, so to speak, when left—leaning Americans depart for Our Neighbor to the North.
I certainly hope that Canada opens its doors wide to departing American liberals. They will find out where their policies lead. The average IQ of both nations will rise. But I also hope that Canada imposes a requirement that American emigres renounce their US citizenship before being allowed a resident visa. We don;t want them back.
