No enthusiasm
For two nights in a row the dimming stars can't rally their troops! That is assuming there are any troops to rally. Once again very few people showed up to disco for Kerry, even with Rosie O'Donnell ("there's only like, you know, maybe 38 of us here") as host.
The night before, the singer Cher, a walking testament to the powers of plastic surgery, embarrassed herself before a small crowd:
"There were supposed to be thousands of people here tonight. I'm not sure why that didn't happen, obviously the people putting on this thing were just not very good at it," an embarrassed Cher explained to the crowd.
"Alright, but you guys are here, that's right. When I was coming down the steps I though 'Oh s**t, well I'll just go out there and give it my best.'"
Could it be that dissing others instead of presenting some cogent viewpoints for a candidate, even for John Kerry, is rather boring even to club kids? Or that Cher and O'Donnell are uhm, not age appropriate for these potential voters? Party on.
