More disgrace at the New York Times
The New York Times editorializes:
"Unfortunately, Bush officials are tap—dancing, spouting the same tired excuses that America can't do anything to restart the road map to peace until Palestinian extremists end their violence against Israel, and until Palestine has a leader America can trust. "
These same tired excuses?
I suppose the Times is referring to the morality of Israelis and others caring about the over 1000 innocent Israelis murdered (and the thousands of survivors—maimed physically and psychologically) by Palestinian terror. Perhaps they are referring to the problems some people (though apparently not the Times) have to the extreme genocidal anti—Semitism taught to children in Palestinian schools and given religious sanction by Muslim preachers on the PA payroll.
Perhaps the Times also thinks that people should gloss over the billions of aid spent, not to help the Palestinians achieve peace and prosperity, but to support a terror war. In the Times' view, these are "tired excuses." This ignoring of a continuing escalation of broken promises made at Oslo is what has helped lead to the present crisis. The Times is an enabler of terror and continues to aspire to this role post—Arafat.
