Lying liars

By

John Kerry is having embarrassing problems with the truth. The Washington Times appears to have caught him in an outright lie in a presidnential debate about having met with all members of the UN Security Council. But this is no isolated incident. His claim to have spent Christmas in Cambodia has disappeared down Orwell's Memory Hole, although the legacy media have had no interest int he matter,

But Joshua Muravchek writing in The Weekly Standard has listed other misrepresentations of his, swallowed whole by his press allies, which they have subsequently had to correct.

The relentless and baseless claim that "Bush lied" about WMDs in Iraq, when he relied on the same intelligence reports as everyone else, including Kerry and Bill Clinton, has been at the foundation of the campaign of demonization launched by the left against the President. To have Kerry exposed as a deliberate liar on serious matters of state is all the more important in this political context.

It will be difficult for the press to hush up Kerry's Security Council lie. Their power to blockade unfavorable news in the late stages of the election is not what it used to be.
