Lesson learned?
Today's New York Times has a book review of High Noon in the Cold War:Kennedy, Khrushchev and the Cuban Missile Crisis by veteran Times reporter Max Frankel. The review of the book is by Richard Holbrooke, prominent Kerry advisor and a possible Secretary of State in a Kerry Administration.
In a previous American Thinker article, we took the New York Times and other media to task for using book reviewers and others to criticize President Bush, without identifying themselves as Kerry advisors or employees. In this review they finally get around to identifying Holbrooke as a Kerry advisor. Needless to say, instead of reviewing the book by traditional measures as a history, he uses the review as a gratuitous op—ed campaign piece to attack President Bush's policies.
