Captain Ed has been paying attention to what we have been calling the analog brownshirts. He links to Michelle Malkin's list of incidents of intimidation directed at Bush—Cheney supporters. He sees something sinister:

The Democrats not only seem to be losing their minds, they appear to be doing it on purpose.

...the truth is that the AFL—CIO and the Democrats have started a deliberate campaign of intimidation to keep Republicans from volunteering for this campaign. It's ugly, and the people who do such things are ugly and should be called out as such. If this represents the face of the Democrats, then their earlier accusations that Bush is the new Hitler can only be called a classic case of Freudian projection

Ed links to Mitch Berg,  another Northern Alliance blogger, who invented the title 'analog brownshirts' before we did. GMTA, but the early bird gets the worm.

Mitch sees what amounts to a religious war underway, a position I have agreed with for a few years.

Both of these guys are right.

In fact, if Bush wins, I am on the record as warning of the possibility of left wing political violence breaking out.
