Kerry's first Purple Heart in question
Apparently, Kerry was not in combat when he received his first Purple Heart. This is a requirement of the medal. He states in his biography that two weeks after he purportedly was wounded that his crew had not yet been shot at! As a former prosecutor, Kerry must realize that a witness may be impeached with his prior inconsistent statements.
