Charles Krauthammer does an admirable job today debunking the "Oops, wrong country!" line being peddled by left wing spinmeisters, claiming that Bush should have invaded Iran instead of Iraq. People who make such a claim are not worthy of being taken seriously.

Bush has (for good reason) handled Iran the way the left and Kerry claim they want: via multilateral diplomacy. It has been a total failure.

Iran must be dealt with soon. When it finally gets a nuclear arsenal, it will use it. The Shiite mullahs, remember, base their theology on the virtue of martyrdom. Massive casualties can be a good thing, to them.

It would be much better for everyone if the Iranian people rise up and overthrow them. Absent such a success, a serious war may be inevitable.
