French massacre
Charles at Little Green Footballs has a link to startling footage from Swiss TV, showing French helicopters firing on demonstrators in the Ivory Coast capital of Abidjan.
The silence you hear is the United Nations not denouncing this unilateral military invasion of a country which has not attacked France. It is also the silence of French media, blithely ignoring their own government's crimes. And it is also the silence of the "world community" which denounces the United States for toppling a brutal dictatorship with amazingly few casualties inflicted, thanks to the use of smart bombs, and which risks its own soldiers' lives by house—to—house fighting, insterad of simply just levelling Fallujah.
No serious person can listen to French criticism of American foreign policy without guffawing.
